Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 June 2026
By using checkmateapp.live ("Checkmate") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. What Checkmate is
Checkmate interviews you and uses AI to generate a short profile of how you work (your "me.md"). It's for reflection, fun, and self-understanding. It is not professional, psychological, medical, legal, financial, or career advice, and the AI can be wrong.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of the answers you provide. You grant us the permission needed to process those answers to generate, store, display, and (at your request) email and let you share your me.md. Don't enter content you don't have the right to share, and please don't enter sensitive personal information.
3. Selections & reservations
Selecting a paid offer (Deep Dive or Nudge) records your interest at a stated price. It is not a payment and not a binding purchase. Nothing is charged, and we'll contact you before any product launches or is billed.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse it; no using it to manipulate the AI into producing unrelated content; no unlawful use. We may rate-limit, suspend, or block misuse.
5. Intellectual property
Checkmate, its name, design, and software are ours. Your me.md is yours to use and share.
6. No warranty
Checkmate is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on your me.md.
8. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Checkmate's operator is established. (Operator location/governing law to be finalized — see note for the operator.)
